Barters Road/Pound Road Improvements – Latest update from NZTA

This project will improve the transport links between Pound Road and SH1, and improve safety at the SH1 Barters Road intersection and rail crossings. 
It is designed to cater for future growth in the area and will make it safer and easier for motorists to enter and exit Main South Road from Pound Road and improve links for cyclists and pedestrians. A new road will be built through Waterloo Business Park with traffic lights at key intersections, shared cycle and pedestrian lanes, and a new railway crossing. 

From Tuesday 28 March, a temporary road closure will be in place on Pound Road between 111 Pound Road and the Waterloo/Pound Road intersection. Please use Innovation Road to enter Pound Road (south of Halswell Junction Road). Access to the Templeton Country Club and Golf Course will be via Innovations Road.
