STAGE ONE EARTHWORKS UNDERWAY

Having started in March this year our Stage One earthworks are progressing well and are on target for completion by the end of August 2013. 

Designed by Harrison Grierson and being undertaken by Maugers Contracting, the project will see 143,000msq of material being removed during the course of operations, the deepest cut being 1.5m. 

Aided by dry conditions earlier in the year, the project got off to a great start, but a wet June brought on a set of new challenges! According to the Met Service 187 mm of rain fell during June, nearly four times the historical average. While this caused some delays, our contractors have worked wonders and we remain on target to commence roading works in early September. 

So much of the philosophy behind the Waterloo Business Park revolves around accessibility and functionality; which is why these initial earthworks, and the impending start of work on our roading system are such important and exciting milestones
