Waterloo Business Park is a unique and innovative development, with a true commitment to sustainability and architectural integrity. Such developments need a robust and innovative team to ensure the vision is carried out. William Walker, our Specials Project Manager joined Waterloo in June 2013. William is excited about the vision of the Park, the opportunity to think outside the square and be involved in something not yet seen in Christchurch.

William, who originates from Southland completed his BE(Hons) in Natural Resources Engineering and BCom in Finance at Canterbury University. After spending a year in Auckland as a Business Analyst William moved to Australia to gain experience in sustainable construction. Starting in Perth, sustainable earth building took him across Australia building Commercial, Residential, Industrial and Military Buildings, all from the most natural resource on Earth – earth! William then moved to Melbourne to work for Australia’s premier earth building company – Earth Structures.

William moved back to Christchurch to share his sustainable construction knowledge and to help develop projects within the Christchurch rebuild. As Special Projects Manager for Waterloo Business Park he is involved in a wide range of initiatives such as overseeing the landscaping plans, assisting with sculpture and outdoor spaces design, trialling land remediation and bringing sustainable practices to the forefront of the project.
