Latest NZTA update on Pound Road

The improvements of SH1, Barters Road and Pound Road are well under way – The project has been through its consenting stage and now has a completed detailed design. The design finalises the finer details of the project, including facilities for pedestrians, cyclists and access to properties. NZTA have also completed negotiations with affected landowners and purchased any land needed to complete the project. Tenders are now underway, with work expected to start in September 2016.
